BUCKEYE, AZ – 14 players were disqualified Monday during the first round of the Outlaw Tour’s Verrado Founders Championship. Many notable players in the field were disqualified including betting favorite T.J. Vogel who was listed at 4/1 odds to win. The issue occurred on the par-3 third hole. According to a player in the field “the tee was set at the 204 (yard) plate, the yardage on the scorecard was the 222 (yard) plate”. The player added that there was a backup on the tee so “a bunch of groups just played from where the group in front of them played.”

The player added “no rules sheet, no notice to competitors, starter didn’t even tell us what tees we were playing to begin with, didn’t say any Rees had been moved up and the yardage on the card is the one everyone played from that got DQ’d.”

Update on 3/31
