I hope everyone takes a minute to think about the players on Big Break. Forget the Good Good guys for a second. The other 10. Think about Jesse Rouse, who doesn’t know his mom, his Dad was a meth addict, and in his young years was probably around domestic violence, his grandparents, who were his hero’s and savior, dead before he was 20. His sister attempted suicide two days after his grandma died. And somehow, somehow he graduated from college and for once, something went his way. He was named to be on Big Break. And now it’s gone. I feel horrible for him, for the other guys who had the chance of a lifetime. For the winner (truly, i dont know who won) For all the people that worked their ass off behind the scenes to make this show possible. To be on that show was a dream come true. Thank you to golf channel for the amazing opportunity. Im sorry to everyone involved. Here is to it coming back in 2027.
Austin Hitt just finished Runner-up at the AdventHealth Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour after shooting 60 in the final round to get to 28-under for the tournament. The finish moved him to 22nd on the KFT points list and he now has his sights set on a PGA Tour card. Heard this from multiple players today. Really unfortunate decision by the rules officials it seems. Q-school is once a year, and a decision like this gives a huge advantage to a small group of players. One player told me balls were blowing 35-40 yards on a cross wind. And he added that they suspended play after a large portion of the groups went thru the most exposed holes, giving those that didn't a huge advantage. Really unfortunate situation at the biggest event of the year for these players.
Peter Uihlein has been DQ’d from the first stage of DP Q-school after struggling the first two days. I assume the DQ is just that he didn't show up for his third round. He was +7 and well outside of the number needed to get thru. If you don't let anyone know you are WD’ing its listed as a DQ.
