Today in Texas, at the Bent Tree Country Club in Dallas is the first domestic final qualifying for the US Open. The field is one notoriously one of the strongest and this year is no different. It includes LIV stars, PGA Tour winners, Euro Tour stalwarts, and many more. I quickly break down the field. The scoring link is at the bottom of the article.
Most decorated player in the field
Sergio Garcia- The former Masters Champ and Ryder Cup star finds himself at final qualifying for the first time maybe ever (pretty sure it's the first time).
Branden Grace- The multi-time PGA, Euro, and Sunshine Tour winner tees off at 8:12. Grace shot 62 in 2017 at Royal Birkdale in the Open Championship for the lowest round in Major Championship History, but with his move to LIV has slipped to 305th in OWGR and out of exempt status into the US Open.
Graeme McDowell- I am starting to sense a theme in these players…The former US Open winner (2010 at Pebble) finds himself trying to qualify for a spot 13 years later.

Great Stories
Ben Silverman- The legendary grinder has his Tour card locked up on the KFT and looks to get into the US Open.
Bobby Massa- The LOONGG hitting personal trainer, who just Monday Q’d into the Byron Nelson takes a shot at Major qualifying.
Clark Dennis- The 57-year-old was medalist at the Senior US Open and US Open qualifying in back-to-back days. He shot 66 at both. Would be an amazing story if he played in both Championships
Hayden Springer- The Springer family is just an amazing group of people, all supporting Hayden as he chases another US Open.
Decorated Ams
Ricky Castillo- Currently Ranked as the 5th best Am in the world, the University of Florida Star looks to punch his ticket to the LACC
Travis Vick- Ranked 7th currently has a chance to get into the US Open with a course I am sure he is very familiar with
Don’t Be Surprised if they get through
Wil Bateman- The confident Canadian has shown the ability to go really low. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him be in contention
Andre Metzger- The mini-tour legend just won the Scottsdale Open last week and is a veteran at qualifying.
Other Notables in the field
