Have you ever wanted to caddy for a Korn Ferry Tour member in a practice round? Or play a round with an Olympian? Or learn how to increase ball and swing speed from a member of the Americas Tour?
How about learning about the best taco places from a well-traveled player? The list of available fan experiences allows Carry athletes to keep their careers going.
As I have talked about many times, pro golf is expensive. Most players not on the top tours in the world are operating at a loss, so help from outside sponsors and donors helps them get to their next event and keep their dreams alive.
Carry offers experiences for each of its athletes that fans can purchase to help pro golfers pay for the expenses. It is an awesome way to get up close with players currently playing on the LPGA, Korn Ferry Tour, or Americas Tour.
I am going to highlight a few of them. A link to all the experiences is at the bottom of the page.
Play a round with an LPGA member and Olympian.
Ana Belac didn't have your typical "country club" upbringing. She grew up in Slovenia on a 9-hole course. Against all odds she made it to Duke and now plays on the LPGA Tour (read her full story from Mark Baldwin here). She was a member of the Slovenia Olympic team, finishing 49th in Paris. Her life and playing experience would make for some awesome conversations. You can hire Ana to play in a corporate outing or in a small group of your best clients. It would make for an amazing day.
Caddie for a Korn Ferry Tour member in a practice round.
If you want to see how amazingly talented pro golfers are, you should follow them in practice rounds. Players are free of any pressure and attempt (and often pull off) shots that they might not even try in a tournament. It's a fantastic way to see the hard work that goes into learning a golf course and preparing to contend in a tournament.
Zach James has a great story (you can read my full story about him earlier this year here) and is having a very solid rookie season on the KFT. He has two top-10s in nine events and currently sits 28th in points.
Zach is offering you the opportunity to caddie for him in a practice round or a pro-am. If you ever wanted amazing insight into the work players do that doesn't show up on TV, this is for you. It's a unique opportunity.
Play a private round with an Americas Tour player at their home course.
George Markham didn't go to school at a traditional golf school. However, he built himself into a DII All-American at the Colorado School of Mines and has grinded on developmental tours since turning pro in 2019
Last year, Markham was nearly out of money and down to his second-to-last tournament on the Americas Tour when he finished T2, kept his card, and earned a much-needed $17,000. The finish kept him going.
This season on the Americas Tour, Markham has a runner-up finish in three starts and sits 7th in points.
Markham is a member at Encanto Golf Club in Scottsdale, and you and two friends can join him for a round at what locals call the "Yacht Club. After the round, you can meet with Markham's instructor and enjoy lunch. It's an experience and access you would never be able to get at a pro-am.
These are just a few of the experiences available on the Carry website. I made a quick list of some others. Any of these amazing experiences also help pros continue to chase their dreams. It is truly a win-win situation. Go check out all the experiences available here.
Some of the other experiences offered by Carry athletes:
-Tyler Collett has played in the PGA Championship and is looking to get there again this year. He currently leads the PGA Pro Championship through three rounds. For just $35 per person, you can do a group Q and A with Tyler about his experience at a major championship
- Get a chipping lesson from LPGA member Katie Stroh-Smith. The former Nebraska standout will give you a virtual chipping lesson while she chases her dream of winning on the LPGA. Her full story is here.
- Buy a chance to have a private round with LPGA member Kristen Gillman, who had one of the best amateur careers in golf history. Her full story here.
There are many, many more, so go check them out!
