Host Course

The North Course at Woodmont Country Club played host to the 2020 U.S. Women’s Amateur where Rose Zhang defeated Gabriela Ruffles in a thrilling 38-hole final match. The course can be stretched to 7,390 yards and following a 2020 renovation for the Women’s Am, places a premium on approach angles.

Most Recognizable Players in the Field

Jimmy Walker- The six-time PGA Tour winner has gone winless since his win at the 2016 PGA Championship at Baltusrol. Walker considered retirement in 2022 after battling injuries but played a full season in 2023, competing in 31 events and making 12 cuts. This season he has made just one cut in six events.

Marc Leishman- The Australian has played on LIV since 2022 and has five top-10s, including two runner-ups in 24 events. Prior to that, he won six times on the PGA Tour and before leaving for LIV, was ranked as high as 12th in the World Golf Rankings. Leishman finished T14 in his last U.S. Open appearance in 2022.

Lucas Herbert- The three-time European Tour winner was the latest player to join LIV when he left the PGA Tour in January 2024. He currently plays for Cam Smith’s Ripper team. Although the team has won two events, Herbert has struggled with a best finish of 14th.

Tim Widing- The Swede has won twice this season on the Korn Ferry Tour and leads the season long points list by a comfortable margin. In his last three KFT events, he has two wins and a T8. Widing received an exemption into the PGA Championship but missed the cut.

Other PGA Tour Winners in the field
