Michael Feuerstein is a husband, a dad, a coffee connoisseur, and a Southern California-based professional golfer grinding his way through the ranks. Now, he’s also the first official Drive Fore The Future ambassador.
Last year, the 42-year-old made his first-ever cut on the PGA Tour at the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic. He shot 68 in the second round to make the weekend, and while the final two days proved challenging, he showed he can compete at the highest level. A couple of months later at the 3M Championship Monday qualifier, Feuerstein fired a 62 to earn a spot in his second PGA Tour event of the season. Before the year was over, he added another made cut at the DP World Tour’s AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open.
A late-blooming journeyman, he’s now playing with a greater mission.
“Golf’s given me so much over the last 30 years that I figured it was time to start giving back,” said Feuerstein.

While some friends call him “Fury,” he’s easygoing, funny, quick to smile – and above all, generous.
When Feuerstein advanced to Q School’s final stage in 2023, he secured Korn Ferry Tour status after years of grinding. Emotion overcame him. His daughter, Frankie, had just been born, marking a new chapter in his life. Playing for something bigger elevated both his perspective and his game.
Feuerstein’s game reflects his personality: steady, precise, and quietly impressive. He has a deft touch around the greens, is a sharp iron player, and has focused this year on adding ball speed off the tee. He began supporting Drive Fore The Future two years ago and soon after, the organization outfitted a Southern California high school with new equipment and a golf simulator. Since its founding, DFTF has provided nearly $630,000 in resources to 750 children across 63 schools – many serving students free or reduced-cost lunch.
“Drive Fore The Future is providing underprivileged youth and schools access to the game of golf,” Feuerstein said. “They’re doing an amazing job. They’re already making an immediate impact in the communities they serve.”
Each morning, Feuerstein starts his day at home measuring coffee grounds to the gram. The water’s pH balance must be exact. The espresso timing is dialed in to the second. He waves steamed milk across the surface like Picasso, painting with precision and texture. Then he heads to the course, bringing that same attention to detail to his golf game. It’s no surprise he continues to improve.
“We are thrilled and so grateful that Michael is our first professional ambassador,” said Ryan French, CEO of Drive Fore The Future. “He’s been incredibly generous in supporting our mission. He’s one of the best people I’ve met, and we’re lucky to have him.”
Feuerstein’s schedule ramps up with the Southern California Open next week. He’ll then head to Europe this summer to compete on the HotelPlanner Tour, chasing a DP World Tour card. In early June, he’s set to play the DP World Tour’s KLM Open in the Netherlands.
For every birdie and eagle he makes this season, supporters will donate to Drive Fore The Future. Every hole under par will help fund opportunities for high school golfers in need.
Sometimes, playing for something bigger pushes a golfer to new heights. As Feuerstein continues his ascent, Drive Fore The Future will introduce more kids to the game.
We’re excited to cheer on our newest ambassador – and hope to see him in a winner’s circle soon.
